Hello Philip (pjpowell),
I've been using your Minimalism 2000 for Desktop X theme on my works Win2K PC and I've not gone back to the original GUI yet. I'm a minimal type of person and this theme really does everything that I need it to do. I've tailored it to my own needs (of course) and in doing so have learned quite a bit about DesktopX. Great theme!
I'm writing in regards to the common courtesy of asking permission if I may use the "Minimalism" concept you have portrayed in this them in an ObjectBar theme that I am currently working on. I wouldn't ask if I wasn't planning on distributing it. My current layout (which so far only resides in my head J ) is almost identical to your DesktopX theme. Horizontal Taskbar with XP style grouping at lower left with a fly-out bar (autohide). Verticle System tray at lower right with a fly-out bar (again, autohide). I'm not quite sure what I am going to do for the "Start Bar" but the WinAmp controller is going to be a revamped version of yours with original graphics and (if I can figure it out) a fly-out interface.
Now that I've told you my life story, I again ask for permission to use the concept and layout that you have created. All due credit will be noted and advertised.

Thanks for the inspiring DesktopX theme and your time.
